HO’OLA CENTER is a place where faith restores dignity, truth rebuilds identity and love heals the soul. Rooted in the Word of God and the heart of “aloha” we believe hope is not an emotion but a living covenant.
In this culture, we are not defined by our past, but refined by His promises. We grow spiritually with expectation, knowing that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives within us, and through the Spirit, hope becomes not just an idea but a living presence that transforms everything it touches..

Kalo and Wai: Our Legacy of Life and Restoration
“O ke kahua mamua, mahope ke kūkulu.”
(The foundation comes first, then the building.)
Kalo (taro) is not just a plant—it what was used to sustain the Hawaiian people. Ke Akua known as I’o was our God who spoke spirit to spirit. That means we were fed—body and spirit—by the land, by the breath of Ke Akua., and by the sacred rhythm of aloha ʻāina (love for the land) and Aloha ohana ( love for family)
The lo‘i kalo (taro patch) was more than farming. It was a system of balance—a living altar of provision, humility, and restoration. Every waterway that fed the lo‘i came from carefully stewarded streams (ʻauwai), hand-dug by the community to ensure everyone had access to life-giving wai (water).
Wai was sacred. Without it, the land dries. The people starve. The heart withers.
Today, this same truth speaks prophetically to our spirit:
Where the water flows, healing returns.
Where the lo‘i is restored, the heart of the people is revived.
Where we honor the land, we remember our place in God’s order.
Hoʻōla: Healing for the Land and the People
At Hoʻōla, we believe spiritual healing must be rooted in restoration. The lo‘i teaches us that when we steward what God has given—His Word, His presence, and each other—there will always be enough. Restoration is not rushed. It is cultivated. It is watered. It is sacred.
This is our legacy, and this is our call:
To restore the land, revive the spirit, and return the heart of the people back to God.
